A salute to the people of South Africa, the brave and fierce Rainbow Nation.

"Rainbow Nation": The story of this piece is entirely inspired by my musician friend Jon Shaban's latest album. I'd always told him I wanted to do his next album cover & when he recorded his latest album, it landed on my drawing desk. It's entitled "Speak Your Mind" & to me it sounded like an ode to humanity. Jon's one of the best lyricist around & his record is bursting full of deeply touching human stories. That's why it pulled this painting out of me: loads of different kinds of humans, bright & beautiful.
